Damn.. That's rad, thanks for responding with that link! We have a similar situation here on Long Island. There's an old skatepark in Farmingdale that's all bowls and little snake runs. Unfortunately a construction company or maybe even a motor home park is on top of it. Rumor has it that the coping is still showing throught the surface. Definitely feels like you're opening a time capsule or finding treasure.
